My Five Point Manufacturing Plan

My 5 point plan for bringing back Manufacturing in the district.

  1. Establish funds by working with governor Phil Murphy by showing that we will work directly with his plans to:
    1. Help establish New Jersey as a leader in clean energy storage, with a goal of 600 MW of energy storage by 2021 and 2000 MW of storage deployed by 2030
    2. Prioritizing solar energy expansion and ensuring that New Jersey regains its status as a national leader in solar energy production and job creation
    3. Help with setting the most ambitious offshore wind target in the country – 3,500MW of offshore wind generation by 2030, which will power 1.5 million homes
  2. Assist in, along with private Industry leaders who participate, the purchase and planned restoration of at least 18 industrial facilities in the district by utilizing:
    1. National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) Renewable Energy Project Finance
    2. Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Technology Innovation Portal
    3. Federal Financing Facilities Available for Energy Efficiency Upgrades and Clean Energy Deployment
    4. Along with LGE funds, Bank of America corporate Green Bond and other private funds and grants
  3. Create Tax incentives for Businesses who participate in program by utilizing:
    1. Department of Energy (DOE): Tax Credits, Rebates, and Savings
    2. Offers and Rebates from Energy Star Partners
    3. Residential Renewal Energy Tax Credit
    4. and Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE)
  4. Establish bill indicating principle hiring practices allowed within the program for all active member facilities which would include, and be limited to:
    1. All new hiring to be completed first from applicants within a ten miles radius of the facility
    2. establish a second phase of hiring from within the county limits of the facility
    3. establish a third phase of hiring from within the limits of New Jersey’s 2nd congressional district
    4. establish a fourth and final phase of hiring from within the limits of the state of New Jersey
  5. Assist in the establishment of distribution partnerships, including, but not limited to:
    1. local municipal buildings within New Jersey’s 2nd congressional district
    2. local farmers who are active participants in the districts solar farming initiative
    3. and interstate and international trade partners who wish to participate in the purchase of renewable energy resources

It is my belief that this plan would revitalize the regions economy, bring jobs to the people of the region and allow for newly established and growing trade partnerships to flourish within the district.
